HOW WE DO IT
START WITH USER NEEDS
LEAD WITH CONTENT
We know from experience that the only way you meet your goals online is to map them to user needs and organise your digital operations around meeting those needs well.
To achieve this you must provide the right content, in the right format, at the right time, in the right way, to the right user.
You must do this systematically, through the creation of roles, systems and policies that ensure this happens, and happens consistently.
Our tried and tested methodology will help you make the user needs approach a reality for your organisation.
THE LLIBERTAT METHODOLOGY
1
DISCOVERY
Humans love solutions. But before rushing out to procure a new content management system or commissioning a new app, it makes sense to spend a little time looking at the current situation and getting some objective data about the problem.
Discovery is a quick, inexpensive way to understand the problem space – so you don’t spend a fortune and end up solving the wrong thing.
2
STRATEGY
Once you understand the problem, you need to work out how you’re going to get from where you are now to where you need to be.
We use an agile approach to content strategy, allowing us to respond to new information as the project progresses.
3
COMMUNICATION
Taking a new approach to your content, your website, or your whole digital estate doesn’t just affect your web team. Your whole organisation will be impacted – so they need to be on board.
An effective internal communications strategy is vital if you want your project to be successful. Your organisation must own and support its transformation, not be subjected to it.
4
INCEPTION
You know what you’re trying to do, you have the strategy that will allow you to do it, and your organisation is on board. But who’s going to actually do the work?
In the inception stage we build the vision, mission, systems, delivery plan and team that will allow delivery to kick off smoothly.
5
DELIVERY
We flex our teams based on the agile phase and the needs of the project. We may run several multidisciplinary teams in parallel depending on the size of the task, your timescale and the available budget.
From a couple of people to an entire delivery programme, we build what’s needed to build what’s needed.
We use agile reporting to map progress and we’re used to plugging into a wider non-agile governance and reporting structure when required.
6
TRAINING
We don’t just dump the finished product on your lap and run away. Ideally the delivery phase will include members of your team.
We’ll train and mentor your people, and document the work, to ensure you can continue to maintain and improve things once the project phase is over and you move into business as usual.
